Job Description


Directs and coordinates activities of purchasing and receiving personnel engaged in procurement and distribution of automotive component parts and assemblies to the companies customers and channel partner by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Develops plans to improve and maintain positive vendor relationships.
Designs and implements reports that will provide the necessary information to monitor departmental and individual performance.
Identifies and leads process improvement efforts with respect to procurement and receiving.
Implements process improvements to eliminate repetitive issues.
Follows the companies manual as it relates to departmental procedures.
Analyzes and monitors supplier performance.
Directs and supervises supplier development activity.
Leads activities within the company that will improve the working relationship with the supply base.
Monitors and reports on time delivery performance, receipt maintenance activity, late orders, and back orders.
Insures that supplier performance is reported to the suppliers and an action plan is implemented to correct any deficiencies.
Interviews and makes hiring decisions of prospective departmental employees.
Administers performance reviews.
Prepares departmental budgets.
Coordinates with sales on supply issues.
Full time postion
Dearborn location
$90,000 – $110,000 depending on experience
