Our client, an aerospace manufacturing supplier, is in need of a Director of Human Resources for their facility in Auburn Hills.

Job Description

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing the overall HR strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives. This role will partner closely with the executive team to build a high-performance culture that fosters innovation, employee engagement, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and vision.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to the executive team, providing HR insights and recommendations.
  • Build a strong HR team capable of delivering exceptional results and supporting the company’s growth.

Talent Acquisition and Management:

  • Develop and execute effective talent acquisition strategies to attract, hire, and retain top talent in the aerospace industry.
  • Implement onboarding and employee development programs to enhance employee engagement and performance.
  • Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes employee growth, recognition, and development.

Organizational Development:

  • Identify organizational development needs and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and employee satisfaction.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives and provide support to employees during periods of transition.
  • Develop and implement succession planning strategies to ensure business continuity.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Build strong employee relations through open communication, trust, and collaboration.
  • Resolve employee relations issues promptly and fairly.
  • Implement employee engagement programs to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage HR risks through effective policies, procedures, and training.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing HR teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
