Location: Livonia, MI (Hybrid – 2 days in office – 3 days from home)
Working for a growing Non-Automotive company. Stable, reputable organization that has been in business for over 100 years. In this role you will be working directly with customers and responsible for order placement and tracking, scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and trouble-shooting for key accounts.
Responsibilities:
Consult with customers by telephone or via email to provide information, take customer orders, answer questions and handle complaints
Investigate and follow up on customer problems
Discuss the technical aspects of products with customers
Help customers decide which products are suited to their needs, then identifying a vendor who makes the product
Issuing “request for quote” to the vendors
Researching and sourcing products and liaising with current or new vendors
Completing all sales orders and liaising with the operations staff
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
(5) years’ experience in the customer service industry, outside sales, purchasing, inside sales or related field
(5) years’ experience in Purchasing, Inventory, Logistics, shipping a plus
Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
Good organization & follow up skills
Accurate, analytical and attention to detail
Ability to work in a team setting but able to work independently when needed
Excellent communication skills
Excellent phone and email etiquette
Strong math skills
Previous experience working for a distributor a plus
