Job Description:

The Quality Engineer position reports to the Chief Operating Officer. In this role, the Quality Engineer will focus on on managing and increasing our overall quality system including quality of product, service, and operations. They will manage the centralized database for documentation including quality management system. They will manage the quality team, incoming inspection, and non-conforming material. They will work in tandem with the Quality Manager and quality department in our sister company in the Netherlands. They will also manage continous improvement projects related to quality. They require strong leadership skills, high organizational skills, and excellent communication. They will need to hold other department leaders accountable. They will finally need to have excellent reporting skills for management reporting.

Job Duties:

  • Manage and oversee quality department including quality team, and all quality related initiatives.
  • Manage and oversee the quality management system and all quality-related documentation.
  • Steer departments to increase all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Prioritize quality issues related to customers, product, and services.
  • Manage and review all quality disciplines including quality reporting such as issue reports.
  • They will need to verify up to date and accurate product drawings and specifications in tandem with the Technical engineer, Quality Manager in the Netherlands, and R&D department in the Netherlands.
  • Proactive communication and consultation with department leaders.
  • Consult, advise, and train department leaders on effective containment, root-cause (5 Why’s), and corrective actions.
  • Strong accountability to set quality standards with all department leaders.
  • Strong collaboration and cooperation with Quality Manager in the Netherlands.
  • Lead quality certifications including ISO 9001 internal auditor team and all ISO related initiatives.
  • Fill in for Quality Inspector when needed.
  • Establish a friendly, team-oriented environment and lead conflict-resolution within department.
  • Engage, motivate, and coach team.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in managing quality
  • Strong leadership and accountability skills
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organization and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems or similar software.
  • Experience in a (small) manufacturing environment preferred; assembly of multi-component equipment.
