Location: Detroit – Hybrid (2 days in office)
Overview: Our client is an association that has a partnership with BCBSM to offer health insurance to small employers through insurance agents. In this role you will partner with Insurance Agents throughout Michigan to ensure health insurance agents are motivated, supported, and aligned with the company’s programs and values. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of the health care industry, and a proven track record of managing and nurturing relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance agent engagement.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with agents, acting as their primary point of contact.
- Monitor and analyze metrics and feedback, providing actionable insights and recommendations for additional future offerings and opportunities.
- Ability to resolve issues or conflicts that may arise to support the agent community.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure agents have the resources and support they need.
- Prepare and present regular reports on agent performance and engagement.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve agent relations.
- Prepare and conduct agency onsite or digital presentations explaining our offerings and value.
- Attend industry and business events for business development and growth.
- Focus on growing agency relationships to expand the company’s network and influence.
- Explain and promote offerings to Association members and the business community.
Qualifications:
- Self-organized and aggressive in accomplishing tasks.
- Enjoys a small business culture, being busy and flexible with project assignments.
- 3- 5 years of experience in agent relations, insurance agency, a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- A health insurance license is preferred but can be obtained on the job.
