Job Title:  Maintenance Technician

Location:  Plymouth, MI

Shift:  2nd & 3rd shift

Hourly Rate:  $35.93 – $38.96

Our client is a tier-one automotive supplier based in Michigan that is in need of Maintenance Technicians for their facility in Plymouth, MI.  The positions are direct with openings on both 2nd and 3rd shift.

Job Summary:

  • Diagnose malfunctioning machines such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables
  • Diagnose and replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices
  • Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other personnel from other affected departments including production, maintenance, and tool room to diagnose malfunction
  • Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas
  • Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems
  • Removes and replaces worn or broken parts

Success Factors:

  • Maintenance Tech Journeyman card or 8 Years relevant experience
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Fanuc robotics, GMAW and Resistance/Spot welding equipment
