Overview: The Community Association Manager provides oversight of all operational and financial aspects of our residential communities. The individual must allocate his/her time between the management office and the properties they manage to ensure that the highest standards of maintenance and continuity are present. This is a Direct/Full time role with competitive compensation, benefits and PTO. Based in Southgate, MI.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Meetings – meet with vendors, community members, and the Board of Directors; prepare and distribute management reports and meeting agendas
  • Alleviate pressure on the Board of Directors – perform routine property inspections to identify violations of governing documents and rules
  • Advise – ensure Board members are equipped to make decisions that are in the best interest of the community
  • Budget and Finance – oversee expenditures, budget creation, monitor payables and receivables
  • Records – collect and organize all documentation related to Association operations including records, documents, and correspondence
  • Vendor Management – coordinate bidding process, present the Board with the results, oversee vendor contracts, and ensure completion of approved scope of work
  • Maintenance – general supervision of the maintenance of all common areas, keeping records of maintenance, ensure prompt compliance with any and all laws

  • Follow-through on multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner with great attention to detail
  • Successful candidates will be self-motivated, flexible, possess excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in various software applications, and have a passion for exceptional customer service while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
  • CMCA® or AMS® credentials preferred
  • Be able to work occasional evening hours for board meetings, however; compensated the following day, by either adjusting start or end work hours. Average work week consists of 40-45 hours.
