Location:  Washington, MI

Hours:  8-5 Monday- Friday

For over 60 years, our client has provided access to affordable and comprehensive
healthcare coverage for individuals as well as small and large businesses.   The Benefit Administrative Support Representative will support general administrative functions, including answering phones and supporting team with enrollment duties for new and existing clients. Prepare documents, compile records, schedule meetings, and provide general office support. This role requires excellent customer service, as you will be the first touch for many callers.

Requirements:

  •  Deliver excellent customer service both internally and externally.
  • Answer phone inquiries regarding general questions and existing client policies.
  • Direct calls to appropriate team members.
  • Become a subject matter expert in all timelines (Open Enrollment, Qualifying Life Events and Special Enrollment Periods).
  • Assist with Point of Service by processing changes for existing clients.
  • Complete initial tasks for clients including sending out intake forms, pre-consult material, scheduling and assigning client to the right agent.
  • Aid agents in updating and documenting information in the client database, including post-enrollment follow up.
  • Assist colleagues with assigned tasks and projects within expected timelines, including simple plan renewals

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office software.

  • Capacity to quickly learn new information and apply it to your daily work-life.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage, working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience; some college preferred.
